I've been lucky to find several Green man masks and a shelf, and 4 planters all in bisque. I also have a sun plaque and an eastern wind as well that I'm still working on. I do porcelain and bisque glazing at a local ceramic shop. While I glaze them and after they're done I consecrate them and they end up in the forrest at camp and in our apparnment as part of our lives. I've done some cool Ents too.  In a month I hope to take a drive to a place I've been told has lots of these poured. The art have become part of the devotion that's become part of my connection to all the teeming verdant life around and in me. As I get my technique perfected I'll start gifting and perhaps even sell them in order to keep adding them to places - faces of the forrest.

I was very happy to see a group like this exists. I'm very much drawn to the forrest and my partner and I own a tralier at a gay men's camp ground where we can be nude in the woods, worship there and I can walk the trails and just be there. The spirits of trees have reached out to me all my life and eventually I began to find things out about Green man, found art which I've put up everywhere and am starting a ceramic project of 5-6 Green Man figures I found in bisque. I've already got 2 planters done.  The tree of life (Celtic) really pulls on us too and last week we were given a metal tree of life with candle holders for our altar from a neighbor who "just felt like he should give it to us."  I think we've found something right for us.  Or we're right for him....

Every day I sit in the woods behind my house and give thanks to Green Man for the majesty of another day and the gift of the ability to walk in his woods. I marvel at his constant majesty , even in the light of the bleek and cold winter. A thousand blessings to all.

THE BATTLE FOR THE--WINTER

The misty dawn has broken on this shortest day.
The Holly King, in winter's green, is ready for the fray.
For half a year the leafy crown has rested on his brow.
To take the crown and cut him down is his brother's vow.

For six long months he ruled within his forest hold.
Throughout his reign, the foliate king, felt himself grow old.
The crown of leaves grew heavy still, the end was in his sight.
His weapons honed and armor shone, he readied for the fight.

The younger king was born, to issue challenge bold.
And take his place, with youthful grace, his brow to wear the gold.
His battle skills sharpened, the verdant crown, is his by right.
With shield of yew and sword new he went forth to show his might.

Twin brothers take the field, to battle for the crown.
The steal blades sing, they fight to bring each other to the ground.
With fatal strike the crown of green falls from his regal head.
He's proved his worth, the blood pours forth, his brother lies there dead.

The misty dawn has broken on this longest day.
The Oaken King, in summer's green, is ready for the fray.
For half a year the leafy crown has rested on his brow.
To take the crown and cut him down is his brother's vow.
