Bright eyes shine in the night
Awake again waiting
If I close my eyes will I see you

No matter what distractions of the day

When I'm with you it's pure delight
With you I find my love while the world spends it's time hating
I look deep into your eyes

I hear your soft sighs

The sky darkens with the moon's eclipse
As the seas rise and fall and wave rush to the sores
Suddenly without warning you slap my face so hard it stings

I missed you so much when you grew your wings
You flew away into the night

You left me and flew into the light

Then with a smile my love said

Fingers run through my hair
As in my shame I stood
