Well I guess an itnroduction is needed so..... I am David. My wife is Lynds and I am sure she will come in and visit at some point. Now to the point up until about a month ago I was a STRONG atheist and she an agnostic. Well I was sitting outside on what was a rather cool night clear mind no thought what so ever, listening to the wind. when a girl I havnt thought of in years popped into mind and the only thing I could remember at that point in time was her beliefs, Wicca. So I started doing some research and talking to lynds. And we decided that we would really like to know more but we just dont kow where to start, or what to believe as truth and whats BS. Theres so much online that it is overwhelming to someone just starting. Then we found tis site and hoped that maybe some of you could refer us to a good starting point. A site, book, anything that could help us. Thank You all for the help.
Welcome to our little world. Wicca covers a 100 different traditions, each with different gods and goddesses. The best way to start is to go in a book store that carries wicca books, look at the different type of books. Pick the one that appeals to you the most, as you read more and more, you will know what feels right for you. Wicca is about self journey and finding what is right for you. There is no right or wrong. We eat, drink and be merry. We have eight holidays that some of us practice and if you cross beliefs then you may have a lot more day to have fun. Your journey is about you and your callings. Love to you and your love ones.
*smile* It's a refreshing change of pace to find people of your faith, for lack of better terms, with open minds. I was introduced to it by a friend who practices after being brought up a Protestant. I just went in with humility and an open mind and I've discovered more about myself than while attending Christian churches. Also, know that there is very little, if any, judgment found here because Pagans usually go in with the acceptance of the fact that everyone has different practices and teach when asked while always learning. Be welcome!
