I was going to respond to a post when something occured to me, a moment of insight. I have always respected nature and natures unpredictability.. as well as nature's life and death cycle. However, I have had trouble understanding or accepting humankind for their very unpredictablity. When a dog bites me, I don't hate all dogs... actually I don't hate that dog.. I just find reasons for the dog to attack. However, when a human verbally or physically attacks me... I don't just dislike that person.. but find myself suspicious of all humans. Perhaps it is the lack of subterfuge in nature... it is what it is... and that some humans consciously or unconsciously practice lying, bigotry, hate and ignorance. What do you think?

THERE ARE MORE HUMANS THAN SAND ON A BEACH IT IS A PROBLEM THAT EVOLUTION HAS CREATED THAT SOME OF US ARE BORN TO BE BAD AND SOME ARE GOOD THE REST ARE FREE TO GO BOTH WAYS
Classifying something as good or bad is also quite the human trait. Bad things happen. Good things happen. But essentially, they are just simply things that happen. We all learn lessons from both the good and bad things in our life. We need both the good and bad to happen otherwise our souls would never experience everything that will help us grow. Sorrow for example is a nasty nasty thing but it is very necessary to help us expand into something greater. To experience sorrow and loss givens reason to hold tightly to that which you cherish. It invokes protection. That's just one example but they're are plenty. If anything, erthgoddss, the people who you dislike are simply examples and lessons of the type of person you strive not to be. But don't let the actions of one determine your general perception of all. And also remember that there will always be someone out there that dislikes you. That reminder can help keep your own actions in check.
I agree with Justin R.
Also I believe that we all have a choice on how we act. Yes; most, if not all people lie, hate, etc. We have to accept these things, for they are a part of life. We may not like the bad in people and in events, but they happen. I say, just try to seek and feel the good in everyone and everything. But that is just my opinion.
I agree with everything all of you have said. I guess my thought was that I have always accepted nature for what it is... but never humans. When I really think about it... both are unpredictable. My insight was that I have always accepted nature for it's unpredictability... but I have never accepted humankind that same way. Being an empath I guess I have to "feel" a person out to see if I can trust them or not, but I trust nature implicitly. The very chaos that makes up nature is also in humans, without it everyone would be the same and it would be a boring... albeit safer... world. As you can probably tell by the way I am rambling... I am trying to sort this out in my mind. No one gets to be my age without being hurt by man and beast... it is what we do with it that counts. Why this is so prevalant in my mind right now... that is something I need to meditate over... the answer will come to me. :) Thanks everyone for your insights!
