Ice Cold Sunday Morning

agony found a home deep within my spirit
and all hope is gone as dark clouds come rolling in
the death of another idea
and born again confusion
begins its shattered reign
lost weeping, broken and alone
in my journey through this world
lying in such dismal solitude
not caring why things went wrong
what matters is the ache dwelling deeper every day
and the thoughts rush over me like a tsunami
and the tears fall like rain
