I have follwed the antlered lord now going on 25 years this coming Beltane. He has shown me many faces and facets. His image is constant throughout the world. He appears as Pan, Ra, Herne the Hunter, Hu the Mighty, and even appears in India (Herne you will have to help me with the name please). The native Americans worshiped the Deer Spirit and the Inuits worship a god of caribous. His name is reflected in the places of worship in Europe. He is worshiped by modern Wiccans as a solar consort to a lunar goddess (though there is no archealogical evidence to this). He has appeared on cave walls from the stone age (the dancing shamans). He appears in mummer parades that date back to early bronze age. He is Puck, Oberon, the Green Man, Robin Goodfellow, and Jack in the Green, he is the life giver, the guardian of the gates of the Underworld, and the hunter of souls. His spear seeks the life force, his hounds are ever present. He is the Master of the Hunt.
Thank you for the info on Cerrunos, I've felt a connection to him ever since I heard his name a while back. I've been trying to learn a little more about him.
Thanks,
Silverthorn

I have had many personal experiences with Pan- expecially after i first starting following the path. During a meditaion- one of my first ones- i kept hearing the word pan. i didn't know there was a god named Pan at that time, i was just thinking "Peter Pan, i like fairies!". lol! But anyways i did some research and i discovered PAN! I read about how he often talked people out of suicide and that really touched me. I have been battling depression since i was nine and often think i am just a burden to the world. Well, long story short, Pan helped me see how special i was and and helped me be a good person dispite my past. Pan is known for being wild- so i knew he excepted me for me- dispite my wild nature.
