The Nativity Mythology: How Jesus is just ANOTHER SUN GOD

I welcome INTELLIGENT & RESPECTFUL discussion with regards to the content and research that was done by the theology rearcher and creator of the video. STAY ON TOPIC!

The creator of the above listed YouTube video researched the mythology of MANY ancient cultures and their central God-figure and put it up against the well-known Nativity Story of Jesus.
The video shows irrefutable PROOF that the legend surrounding Jesus' birth is merely a recent addition of yet another deity to an already-existing ANCIENT Sun-God mythology. This ancient Sun-God legend that numerous Pagan and pre-Christian religions ALL share is found worldwide across numerous cultures & shares one theme: worship of the Sun as a personified being/deity.
The video shows the concept that Jesus is a representation of ancient Sun-worship, making him more the "SUN of God" than the Son of God.
Note: The clip above is part of a movie called "Zeitgeist" - a critically acclaimed full-length film that the creator made regarding the origin of the Jesus Nativity story. I am NOT affiliated with the creation, promotion or distribution/downloading of "Zeitgeist"... I am merely someone who happend across the clip on YouTube and thought that it'd make for a damn interesting discussion!

I have seen this video before. I never thought of Jesus a sun god spin off before. But yeah, I don't think it can be denied. I will in fact see the "three kings" tonite.

I was fascinated, enthralled, appalled...just to name a few emotions as I watched the ENTIRE 2 hour video. I have copied the link and sent it to all people who mean anything to me (knowing that maybe 2 will watch it, but hey...). I don't immediately believe everything I read/hear, but there is some very compelling evidence in that video that is just mind boggling. I began to follow the pagan path only about a year ago, but it has been in my blood my entire life. I just couldn't buy into the Jesus is my Savior mantra that was continually crammed down my throat, from Sunday school classes to an adult when I see 'Jesus is the Reason for the Season' banners. Ugh.
Even sitting in the pew in the tiny Baptist church I attended as a little girl, I questioned what was being preached. It all seemed so far fetched.
I have been born and raised, and still reside in the Bible Belt. I don't make a secret of not being a Christian, and that I choose to follow a spiritual path that is comfortable for ME, that was not chosen by my family or a local minister or my friends.
It seems obvious to me that Jesus has this whole fairy tale called The New Testament written about him. Yay for Jesus. I mean, I think he may have been a real person, maybe he was the best philanthropist of his time. It has seemed obvious to me for as long as I can remember that the Bible is a book of rules meant to brainwash and put the fear of God into people, who follow like sheep.
One thing that I keep hearing lately from several people, on this site and many others...a recurring thought. I have used it myself before seeing it out here.
It just IS. Simple, to the point, but seems to summarize the video link that HEXtraordinary graciously posted. I thank you, HEX for the fascinating evening of information that you have gifted me with!
