Happy New Year, everyoine!
Our topic this week is New Years' and the month of January. We start out with a New Year's prayer/spell, using an hour glass to meditate on changes that occur at this time of year. This was originally penned by Silver Ravenwolf. Then we'll talk about some holiday traditions, including a figure from Italian folk-tradition, known as La Bafanna, and also the Scottish New Year festival called Hogmany. And we'll also look at meaning and significance of "Twelth Night"
I hope you enjoy this week's show!
Some of the music you'll hear on this week's show include; Uncle Dirty Toes: "The Beautiful Year"; Fairport Convention: "Who Knows Where Time Goes"; Enya: "Only Time"; Peter Janson: "Snowflakes"; Bert Janch: "The January Man"and more.
Please listen to The Spiral Dance with Hawthorne each week. It's an online Pagan radio show & Podcast. The podcast gives you the option to either listen to right from the website or download to your computer. It's FREE and it's fun. Your suggestions and comments are welcome!
