Tarot Discussion
O.K. Kids..how about a Tarot Discussion?
I have been reading for well over 20 years and I love it. I didn't want to start at first but my aunt talked me into it. I was actually afraid of it. We were never allowed to use Ouija boards as kids. My aunt used to tell us the spirit world was nothing to mess with when you didn't know what you were doing and when you open the door for spirits to come waltzing in you may not like who you get. I was also taught that all people have different talents and SEE things very differently. No two tarot readers work alike, just as no two minds work alike. So I learned to set aside the Tarot books once I had a general idea of what the suites meant and started studying the cards for what they showed me. I learned to hear them and see them and allow them to shift my mind into a wonderful type of dream state. Visions flash and I just start describing them and that is how it works for me. I also Love astrology and make sure I understand what sign a person is before I read for them. I know a Leo will react differently than a Libra will....trust me on that one....
How about we Start with the Suite of Swords...any Takers....

what are some of the things you suggest for grounding yourself.. ?? i think i have a problem with protecting myself.. I really pretty intuitive .. just wanted to release some of the questioners energy.. after readings .. oh, and how many people do you suggest you should read a day?

i just started reading and studying cards... to me swords are always about stuggle.. thats the thing that stands out the most.. or distrust like someone stabbing you in the back .. anamosity.. conflict..

Blessings all! Sometimes Prior to a reading, I will Light a candle and incense, and as the Questioner becomes comfortable, I will ask them to hold their hands next to mine before they shuffle the cards.This tends to make my readings stronger.For you newbies, make sure you cleanse your deck between readings. I use sage for this, but there are a few different methods. Happy Reading! -Be Blessed

Honestly, I never let anyone touch my decks. I have a hard enough time letting the people I read for touch them..but you have to.
I burned my bad deck at Samhain two years ago during ritual. I find banishing spells and binding spells work better...I would have never taken it to a church...but that is just me.
My suggestion..don't read. Take your time. If you are very sensitive and you don't feel comfortable enough..then it is better if you work on finding your own peace and control. You won't do anyone any favors by pushing it..gift or no..
Take time to learn more about protection spells and the spirit world. Also remember not to listen to everything everyone tells you..I know that sounds sad but I have met some real Whack Jobs...
If you are going to read Tarot, and i recommend this to everyone...learn to work energy first and ground yourself...when reading you become a BIG funnel for other's emotions..and you want to learn how to process this...TRUST ME. and not let it get to you..

I was like you. I was always afraid of the spirit world. More a few years ago. I was not taught anything about the cards and I had a deck. I was wanting to learn because I was told that I had something. (That I could read cards, see things and other things.) Well, one of my sisters and her friend messed with my deck. Not a good idea. I was told that they let in dark spirits. They were roaming my house and looking for me. (I can talk about that later) All I know is that after that happened I didn't want to learn anymore. A lady told me that I had to get rid of my deck as soon as possible. She said to wrap it in a purple cloth and leave it in a church altar. I don't know what that did or if it got rid of the dark spirits. But i still feel a bit uneasy at my mom's house.
