Sometimes fears can be greater than they are and if faced with bravery and a bit of deplomacy they can be removed and all will be well.  Im glad we could be of help to you. Blessed Be

I thank everyone for all of their comments, thank you very much! I took them all to heart. I ended up talking to my family about it, all decided it is better to be a family and accept everyones beliefs, and now we are very happy with each other. Jeremiah Smith, you were right, i was true to myself, & my family finally accepted all of my beliefs. Robert Aka Mountain Dog, you are also right, everyone has their own religion & who are other to judge on that? Sharon, thank you, fear is a big part of alot of problems today. People shun what they do not understand. & that is very true what you said, i want to be true to myself, & doing so standing up for what i believe in. Alora Darko, im happy you stood up for what you believe in, that was very brave of you! Thank you for your view on this!

It all comes down to walking the path that feels right and trying ones best to do what is right for oneself and for others around you.  If you cant be true to yourself then who can you really be true to??

i have the same problem, and am not really accepted by many except my aunts who share my beliefs. i finally just told my family that this is me, deal with it, accept it, or we can part ways. it's a hard thing to do but when it comes to your own beliefs, people shouldn't try to shove their own down your throat

Ive found through the years that humans as a rule are willing to accept things as long as its "their way".  They stand in judgement and are unwilling to see others point of view. If a new path opens up they stick to the safe path rather than trying a new way.  Fear of change brings out the worst and the intollerance of others can cause a lot of hatred and strife.  Generally the higher in the heirachy the less they practice what they preach but continually push their beleifs and attitudes onto others.  I see it in most of the patients I have to deal with. When they start on me I try to educate them but if I see that I getting nowhere I tell them to stop wasting my time and that we will finish the conversation when they are in a better frame of mind - then I walk off and they can argue with themselves!

Most of us in the U.S. were taught that people came to the "New World" to escape Religious persecution. That this country was founded on Religious freedom. I guess they forgot to say, "so long as you believe in Christianity or what the Bible teaches." In this world of "Politcal Correctness", I wonder why people cannot accept Wiccan's or Neopagans for their beliefs.  I agree with Jeremiah Smith, simply be true to yourself.

people fear what they don't understand, be true to yourself, you may alienate people for a while but through your actions they'll see your still a good person and hopefully in time being a Wiccan will be a minor issue. I hope everything works out for you, blessed be :)
