I see the world

And I just want to cry

I wish I had the power to fix the world

To fix the things I see going wrong

To fix the hurt we place on each other

To fix the damage we are doing to our Mother Earth

But I am only one woman

I see children being used

I see children being abused

Being fed crack and marijuana

On every street corner

So when they are high

It is easy to sexual use them, I sigh

I wish I could fix their world

People hating one another

Setting dark boundaries

Seeking reasons to hate

Why can’t we just share our lives?

Feel each other’s pain

Give each other some love and kindness

But we will rather slap the weak down

And trod on their souls

Too many people unemployed

Too many people homeless

Too many people living on welfare

And we all pray that things will get better next year

I am crying tears of pain for them

So many sick children

And without any health care

Why can’t we as one nation

Under God

Change the world

Help all the lil boys and girls

Stop them from growing up in this sinful country

Why do we let this happen?

We allow criminals to govern us

Listening to their sinful lies

And what is worst

We believe them
