Listen To Your Heart

Listen to your heart
It will light your way
All you need is love
To ease the pains away

It tells of a different time and place
Searches for the inner you
Your heart always calls your name
Listen as it calls to you

Follow the dreams you've had since childhood
They know you better than you know yourself
Hearken to their knowledge
Hear the breadth of knowledge you hold inside the self

Sometimes pain seems too much
Almost more than you can bear
Listen to what calms you
Enter a trance without a care

Show others what you see inside
That is what they dream of knowing
Never let another decide for you
Listen as the self keeps flowing



I have been writing a lot lately. My brain is working overdrive. Sometimes its all I can do to get one thought out before another comes and pushes the others out. I hope I never lose the ability to write, for if I did I would be at a loss. I would feel as if there were no way to express my inner feelings. This poem was inspired by a great friend of mine and she will remain nameless. She has shown me to follow my heart and never let another tell me what is right for me. I am greatly indebted to her whether she knows it or not. I just hope she knows that I will always be there for her and that nothing bothers me anymore like it used to, I am fully aware of what is happening in my life, and I know now that in order to change it all I have to do is act upon it. So thank you dear friend, you know who you are.
