I've thought about starting a blog for a while now - thought about it - but somehow I kept talking myself out of actually getting started. I think it was the sneaking suspicion that no one in their right mind would want to listen to me ramble on endlessly about the same boring topics everyone else is constantly droning on about. Of course, that doesn't stop anyone else, but then I'm not too keen on adding to that festering morass of mindless drivel, so...
Then I remembered this delightful little site, and while it isn't exactly bustling with activity, perhaps that could be an advantage. Don't ask me how, I don't know, but that's what I'm going to tell myself so I don't talk myself out of writing this blog.
I write quite a lot, on a myriad of topics, too many really to make it seem anything like a coherent narrative. And yes, I know, blogs aren't supposed to have any coherency, or even be reasonably legible, but I'm a stickler for details and I'm just not that sloppy. So when I rediscovered this site I thought to myself 'You know, I'm a Wiccan, a fairly long practiced one, with a wealth of opinions, ideas and general knowledge (not to mention specialist knowledge) on a wide range of topics related to the Craft', and that got me thinking it could be interesting to actually start my blog at long last.
So, I'll try to keep my topics centered on things which are somehow related to Wicca, Neopaganism, spirituality and the like, although I will admit I'm likely to stretch that a bit, but I'll do my best to make a good case when I do, I promise.
The only thing I need to do now is come up with a name for this blog, something catchy, clever or otherwise memorable. So far I've only thought of one name; Wiccablog. Which is actually rather fun to say, try it.
Fun, isn't it? Kinda' sounds like some old colonial town in new England, the kind of place you could get some really good clams. Maybe not, but I'm hungry now, so I'm going to go, but I will be back soon.
I wonder what I'll write about....
I, Patrick, Wiccan
