Am I crazy...?

Does it seem weird to contiue ending every comment with "blessed be"? I would like to suggest a little bit of over kill. I mean I'm not facebook/myspace posting comments and ending each one with "ok, love you bye bye!"....Hey I'm the first to embrase the love of ze pagans baby....I just...I'm sorry but every time I read that and it's not in a book defining the meaning of the phrase and the significance during ritual (cuz that I get) I kind just wanna scream....oh wow...LAME...

So am I crazy?

Comment by lilspellbinder on November 27, 2008 at 11:11pm: I was shopping in a local grocery store not too long ago and this particular store was very busy as always, and as I rounded the corner to get into a check out line ( line being key here as the checkout lines are always long at this store) I was of course looking for the shortest line and coming to the realization that as usual there was going to be a bit of a wait. So as I was trying to decide which one to direct my shopping cart towards I heard a magical voice ring out and say I can help you right here. It had already been a very long day for me and all I could think about was going home and throwing on some pjs and curling up on my sofa with my kitty and a good book. Well to further my story with a very thankful smile towards this young man I pushed my cart up to his checkout and unloaded my groceries so that he could scan them for me. We had a few kind words between us, a very comfortable exchange, and I paid for my groceries and thanked him for his kindness and as I was leaving, he looked at me and smiled and said Blessed Be Sister.....I smiled back and replied Blessed Be....Yes we were having a moment and it was a wonderful thing because my cresent moons and my pentagram were hanging well concealed underneath the neckline of my sweater and yet the connection was there for him to say those words to me as I was leaving. He had Identified himself to me and had let me know that he was my Wiccan Kin with these words. It was special thing that he invited me to his checkout and the timing was perfect, it was like he knew that I just needed to get home and he took care of me and sent me on my way with a farewell that you dont hear from just anybody. I have been a solitary for as long as I can remember and for me it is precious indeed to come in contact with my Wiccan Brothers and Sisters be it in person or online in forums. Merry Meet and Blessed Be are far from being common phrase and manifest good kharma no matter how often they are used and also to add, these are expressions that we use to show that it is good to see you and be safe wherever your journey takes you.

However, I have gone to sites in the past where Merry Meet and Blessed Be.. were used by anyone joining the site... and leaving the site. It is the way people prefer to express their ways... just like me saying Hi and Bye.. it is just an expression.

Comment by Jade on November 26, 2008 at 5:45pm: i agree with oak leif- i like to put blessed be at the end of messages, mainly cause its something nice to do. i think there is enough negative in this world and i want to put as much positive in it I can. and if i can make a person feel better by putting it at the end of a message- i feel better. maybe it is overkill... i dont know
