All good reads as was given to you already.... Also try Scott Cunningham for good information. I would pick out at least 3 different authors and start there as it will give you an idea of the different ideas and thoughts from each author. I agree. Silver Ravenwolf has many great books. My personal fav is the Ultimate Book of Shadows for the Solitary Witch. Phyllis Curott is also a very insightful writer. Her book titled Witch-Crafting is a great read for beginner or advanced.

Learning is the most wonderful experiance. go to a book store new age secion. look at a autor.Silver ravenwolf, she is my fav autor and has helped me through it all even as a teenager. one of my first books was teen witch. it helped me understand more about the religion. its a great beginner book even for an adult. it fully explains the way of the craft without confusion, and then maybe pick up ride a silver broomstick, she has a great talent and i fully recommend her for a beginners first read. she also recommend other autors inher book you canpick up as well. i trust her judgement more then any other out there
