Depends on whether I'm performing the ritual for myself or the world, whether I plan on reaping the whirlwind of ego or lack of ego. In all honesty, I don't perform rituals very often, only when I need some sort of attitude adjustment. Attitude is everything.

Heh, it's funny; I'm a peaceful dude to the core, but I'm pretty deep into heavy metal. Pantera, Soulfly, Archenemy, Dimmu Borgir, Opeth, and Slayer are among mine favorites. Plenty more who probably deserve to be on the list, but I'm feeling lazy at the moment.

The Hero With 1000 Faces, The Hobbit, the Drizzt Do'Urden series, the Jeffersonian Bible, anything by Scott Cunningham or Amber K, the first half of the Satantic Bible, and last but certainly not least, comics. Lots and lots of comics. Wolverine, Batman, and Captain America are my favorite characters, but it ain't about that. It's about the real people behind comics; in that regard, my favorite writers are Stan Lee, Mark Millar, Brian Micheal Bendis, Alan Moore, Frank Miller, Mark Waid, Kurt Busiek, Ed Brubaker, Joss Whedon, Paul Jenkins, and Jeph Loeb, while my favorite artists are Jack Kirby, George Perez, Alex Ross, Micheal Turner, Brian Hitch, Brian Finch, Steve McNivin, Steve Epting, and a bunch more.
