How do you perform your ritual?

I always cast a circle and ask for the guardians of those elements to join, protect, and guide the session of mediation and the ritual. I ask for the assistance of any deity that is willing to assist me in the matter at hand and if they want to make any deals in order for me to receive their assistance then to speak to me. If spoken to I discuss with the deity. If not I progress to my next step of thanking all deities for helping and protecting me before proceeding, waiting for an indication that it is safe to meditate. Then, I usually meditate on what needs to be performed in the ritual, what are the possible results, what is required (such as additional meditation, adding to a spell bag, etc.) and creating the desired result in my mind. I carefully perform the ritual. I then offer a thanks to any deities that assisted in giving life to the result of the spell. I close my circle.
