I didn't, mainly because I can't afford to. Also because I didn't realize it was a national thing till I heard it on the radio driving in to work. I thought it was just a California thing because of Proposition 8. Oh well, I never claimed to be well informed.
I did keep an eye out for anybody taking off today. Sadly, they all showed up. I was kind of hoping one of the more outspoken homophobes would have a bad cold and take the day off. Coulda had a lot of fun with that....
Scott you beat me to the chase, I was going to ask the group the same thing. I heard about it at work (We keep CNN playing) I did not call in gay today. I had heard of calling in sick but calling in gay? That's a new one. :)

I did not...for several reasons. First and foremost, I have no more sick time left for the year. Secondly, I dont think anyone at my job would realize what I was doing or why. Thirdly, I work in medical billing. Whether I am there or not, my job gets done. I just dont realy think it would make much of an impact at all. It was a good idea, but essentially the only people it would have hurt are my coworkers, I dont think that is fair.

I must add, I would have loved to have been able to take the day off and do community service somewhere where it would have made an impact...I think that was the best part of it all. Did anyone go out and do something for someone when they called in?
