Comment by Sam Morgan on December 2, 2010 at 9:00am: I think of stones as being a living being. The ones that you are attacted to are the ones that picked you. I don't thing we pick the ones of importants. They come in our lives and they will leave when the time is right. I have picked up stone that were meant for someone I know and they will end up with them and not stay with me. In my collection, I have some that are very important to me and I use all the time and other I never use. Each one has their own personality and goal for being with me.

Comment by sharon on December 2, 2010 at 2:09am: Its great and you can pick up semi precious stones and quartz if you keep your eyes open. As they have been lying around in the elements for eons they are enfused with magic that can be tapped off. Ive a large white quartz by the front door that keeps things in good nick and bad vibs outside where they belong. Personally I prefer to use stones Ive collected rather than shop bought ones. Theyr not as fancy but the vibrations in them feel more positive. Ive bought some from the shops but they feel off somehow and no matter how much Ive cleaned them they still fell the same. Not sure why

Comment by sharon on December 1, 2010 at 6:41am: With all of that we would have to open a book! Why not just visit the place one day and see first hand why I love the place so much? You would have to spend a few weeks driving through but its worth it the experience would be one to remember - especially if you see a dustdevel swirl by. And dont forget the Boland and its flower carpet of Namaqualand daisies. As I said a very magical place and if you stay tuned its all around just waiting for discovery.

Comment by sharon on November 29, 2010 at 9:56am: Karoo is a strange eclectic mix of desert and life. Plants that grow there are hardy and You can see the entire milkyway across the sky at night. Its a good place for magics as just being there is a kind of magic in and of itself. You get a sence of piece of the truely ancient sort at night and magic is so accessible on so many levels. Earth magic comes easier than other kinds and I feel more secure using it being attuned to the seasonal changes.and Her general moods.

Comment by Becky on November 27, 2010 at 5:48am: Thanks Sam :) if I journal and meditate enough I don't need that spell often. Yes I have the temper of my Irish ancestors. When I'm angry it's like a powder keg. But I am also quick to forgive and forget I think that's. Where the water might come in.

All kidding aside, I hope you don't need to do very many negative banishing spells. Your big trees can take the negative edge off of your thoughts and emotions. Love to you and yours.

Comment by Becky on November 26, 2010 at 7:36pm: Write your negative thoughts down and try not to reread them while you do it. Once your head stars to clear fold the paper into a shape that symbolizes the element you are most attuned to. What ever that element is get "rid" of the thoughts utilizing that element. If it's fire burn the paper. If its air tear the paper to pieces and let the wind take it(use earth friendly paper in this case). If earth strikes your fancy bury it. If water is your element you could wad it up tight and throw it in a river etc. This doesn't have to involve just one element keep in mind most people have an attunement to more than one. Personally I'm a fire and water girl.
