SKYCLAD The term used for ritual nudity. It is considered by some that clothing may hinder magickal energies. Being nude is not a requirements and up to the individual who wishes to practice so in private or trusted coven. ADULTS ONLY GROUP.

DISCLAIMER: NO NUDITY & EXPLICIT PICS POSTING ARE ALLOWED HERE!

"Notwithstanding the perspectives of this particular Group and with all my sincere respect for Skyclad meaning and rituals, I personally like to underline that this is a 'public site', under NING rules and censorship control. These 'censorship' rules are NOT made by me but NING. Not applying to them can lead to profile deletion and also even to the community shut down, at NING solely discretion.

In addition to that, I believe is correct to use this 'public' community and annexed tools with an 'open mind' but also with equilibrium & wisdom. It is correct to intend this community as a cool place to meet new people that are possibly sharing similar interests and connect with them. It is INCORRECT to use & intend this community as your private space where you are free to completely show all your 'inner creativity' without inhibition & control. Consequently, not being this community your private domain and neither your personal bedroom (lol), it is appropriate that more 'explicit Skyclad experiences' with relative possible nudity or explicit postings, as mystical or sacred this is or can be perceived by you, needs to be experienced not here, but in a private environment or in other communities that allows nudity, etc...

Thanks for your understanding of all the above and to apply to it." - Founder.

the photo of the women in the stone circle I beleive is from the original movie "The Wicker Man". It had many scenes with skyclad females, celebrating Beltaine.

I had trouble with the link but pasting it into the address bar should work. It's that one of the Australian coven by National Geographic I mentioned. Again, many body parts are digitalized out.

The naked human body is powerful, especially if the person is fit and healthy. Clothing is a nice prop, like a judge's robes, but only one of my spells was successful while clothed. Well, that was more like imitative magic, but it sure worked.

I was an artists model for many years and have been a nudist for longer, so I am fine with skyclad ritual. I saw a National Geographic episode of the "Taboos" series and this one was had scenes of a Australian skyclad coven. It was the most beautiful ritual I ever saw . It was digitalized a bit but you still had enough to get the feel of it. It was, like another said on here, "absolutely primeval."
I was High Priest in a robed coven and we did spells that worked, but I can imagine the power a skyclad group would bring up. I believe in the Goddess Charge where she says, ..."and as a sign ye be really free, ye shall be naked in your rites..." It is the most beautiful ever written. I believe it pleases the God and Goddess to work in that way. I have looked for years to find a skyclad coven but alas, the closest to me is an hour away and the bus service is poor out where it is. I can post the link for the National Geographic clip (it's about 5 min.), with approval, or send it to the moderator first for approval. If they want.
Blessed Be

Merry meet! just checking in and wanted to say "howdy". Used to be the HP of a skyclad coven here in Vermont (inside in the winter). Our group really leaned more towards clothing optional in the sense that the HPS and I and many others would remain skyclad after rituals for social time where as other groups I have worked with in the past are pretty strict about being robed after the ritual.

Unfortunately the group disbanded a while back and there appear to be no other groups that practice skyclad in the area.

Would love to find another group to work with, one that is as open minded and relaxed about nudity and the body as we were.

There is definite power in being skyclad. That's the way the Goddess made us. It also does an excellent job of stripping away pretensions. A judge in his or her robes is an imposing figure. Nude, they look just like the rest of us. There is a lot of equalizing going on with being skyclad.
However, I work and celebrate with the weather in mind, and with my severe allergy to poison ivy in mind.
I took part in a skyclad dance around a bonfire at the Rites of Spring in 1994. It was positively primeval.

Hi Skycladders!

Can anyone please enlighten me about the location for the one photograph above showing an all-female coven doing ceremony within a beautiful stone circle? Where is it and what is that stone circle's name? It has stirred me to the core. Incredible setting for ceremony and being myself quite well acquainted with such places around the UK I can't believe I have never heard of this one (it can not possibly be anywhere else, unless it is a movie set, mmmh...). I'd be very grateful for any clues. Thanx.

I am interested in contacting skyclad practicing groups in TX for ritual participation in Esbats. I'm open-minded about Tradition and ritual-will go with the flow. I have Gardnerian and Thelemic educational background. Please send me an email at superdjp1968@gmail.com if you are for real.

THE BATTLE FOR THE--WINTER

The misty dawn has broken on this shortest day.
The Holly King, in winter's green, is ready for the fray.
For half a year the leafy crown has rested on his brow.
To take the crown and cut him down is his brother's vow.

For six long months he ruled within his forest hold.
Throughout his reign, the foliate king, felt himself grow old.
The crown of leaves grew heavy still, the end was in his sight.
His weapons honed and armor shone, he readied for the fight.

The younger king was born, to issue challenge bold.
And take his place, with youthful grace, his brow to wear the gold.
His battle skills sharpened, the verdant crown, is his by right.
With shield of yew and sword new he went forth to show his might.

Twin brothers take the field, to battle for the crown.
The steal blades sing, they fight to bring each other to the ground.
With fatal strike the crown of green falls from his regal head.
He's proved his worth, the blood pours forth, his brother lies there dead.

The misty dawn has broken on this longest day.
The Oaken King, in summer's green, is ready for the fray.
For half a year the leafy crown has rested on his brow.
To take the crown and cut him down is his brother's vow.
