I have had numerous experiences with spirits... friendly and otherwise.

One of the most memorable was a dark spirit that tried to choke me while I was asleep in bed. This all happened during a time of great emotional stress after my fiance and I handparted. I am well-aware that stress makes you easier prey and part of me wonders if this entity was sent to torment me BY my ex. I don't doubt anything when it comes to him anymore.

At first I thought it was a dream til i woke from the dream and literally felt and saw the creature looming above my bed. I fought it off magickally and was disoriented and couldn't distinguish between this real and the dream realm for a good few hours. I then slept on the couch til I smudged my bedroom and in the morning, I opened the blinds to let the sunlight pour in.

That was one of the most bizarre experiences I've encountered.

When i was about 9 i lived in a trailer house (my mom bought it from my aunt) My room was the last one on the north side. Well, I would always play or read in the closet. Sometimes i would hide in there and no one would find me. (which is weird because most parents look under the bed or closet) I really felt safe there.

About 3 or 4 years later my grandma told me that the lady who sold it my aunt told her that her son had killed himself in my room in the closet. That really didn't scare me. A year later we moved out and just this year the new owner sold it and moved it off the land.

Hi Everyone. I'm just as similar with the rest of you. I've been seeing spirits since I was really young. I lived in a haunted house when most of my life. Besides that they like to follow me around a lot.

Hi, and thanks for starting this group. Although my degree is in metaphysics it's become apparent that the work I'm to do is in the area of the paranormal, so I look forward to seeing what everyone else has experienced!

Thanks everyone for sharing these, and welcome! I will get around to sharing my experience pretty soon. I'm just all over the place today! My son is home from college for Thanksgiving. He was having a hard time for a while but is doing so much better now. Of course he ran off to be with friends right away--but it's still good to have him home for a spell.

I will tell you one of my expericences. I was a bit jumpy after this one. This happened last year. I was living alone and thought I was going crazy because I lived alone. What happened was; one evening I was at home and went to the restroom. I was standing in front of the mirror and then i glanced up. I did a double take because I thought I saw something. I was looking at my reflection and then it started to change. I was then looking at someone else. She had the same skin color as mine, but lighter hair and eyes. Her face was a bit longer then mine also. For some reason I kept looking at her and then a few seconds later I ran out of the bathroom as fast as I could. After that happened, the name Villi came to me. After a day or two, for some reason i was thinking that that was the girl's name. The one I saw in the mirror. After that I started to feel different in my apt, and wanted to go back to my hometown.

What happened after that really scared me. A week later. I was in bed ready to fall asleep. (it was 11:30pm) But then I had the feeling that I really wanted to paint. (I used to paint and draw. I had my art supplies in another room) So I got up and went to the other room and began to draw with charcoal (which i normally didn't) I started to have a conversation with myself. That is what it would look like to someone else. But I could see what was going on. One "side" of me was crying and was sad. The other "side" of me was being rude and calling me names (i will not repeat) And at the same time I was drawing. After about half an hour, I was finished with the drawing, got up washed my hands and went to bed as if nothing happened. The next morning i went to where my art supplies were and I saw the drawing. It was of a dark man. I knew his name was Carl right away, but I had never seen him before. After that more things began to happen. But I will talk about those another day.
