Hello. I was asked to introduce myself so here I go lol My name is Cameron. I am a sagitarious, and I enjoy writing. I prefer not to categorize myself for I am not fond of titles. I am an eclectic witch, and combine new age with old and have been for abut 9 years . I enjoy writing occasional story's as well as writing poetry. is to nourish thy self and others.
To feel the Wind..
is to be free and enjoy all life.

You do what you can. You don't have to work so hard. The site will pretty much run itself. We know you appreciate all the poetry put on here, otherwise you wouldn't have started the discussion. You deserve a break. Blessed be.

The following poem was written about the demolition & bulldozing of the GORGEOUS 14-acre South Central Farm that was the LARGEST inner-city farm in the U.S. and one of the largest in the WORLD - located in Los Angeles. Actress Daryl Hannah & many others have been working to try to save the land from housing a HUGE Forever 21 warehouse & distribution facility.
The battle to reclaim the land continues in court as numerous EPA appeals have been filed.
The farm regularily fed over 350 people in South Central LA and was bullzozed over even AFTER the community raised the multi-million $$$ asking price the developers wanted... and then refused. Currently, it sits as a vacant lot as both sides try to make their cases in court.
Many of the original farmers have moved on to a new plot of land to farm their own food that has been provided by the city. Another point of controversy is that the 11-acre plot lies directly under power lines. The farmers don't seem to be bothered by this much and are happy to grow their own food once again. In fact, they are requesting MORE land under the power lines for the farm.
This poem was written after I viewed some of the original footage as posted by Daryl Hannah of the rioting, raid, and bulldozing of the original 14-acre farm on You Tube. It affected me so deeply that I cried for several hours before penning the poem that follows.

Concrete Design
Oh sisters and brothers...
standing on this soil...
witness the tears of Gaia...
witness culture unevolved
Spending so much time on their money
not using their money to buy us time
and there is no green in a garden unloved
Take take take
victim of the concrete design
14 in the middle of a bad scene
killin' Earth's dignity
as we scream from the trees
Another rug brushed under
another political corrupter
Another destroyed wonder
Another unwed mother
Oh sisters and brothers
standing on this land
hold your ground with guns pointed down
while we fight with our bare hands
Spending so much time on your money
can't you see we're losing time?
Oh, you know that Greenland's melting
and only the strongest swimmers will survive
Take take take

Morn of 1692
Memories of those rolling hills
the emerald glen and azure lake
my hands soiled by mother earth
our lives sealed by unseen fate
That ruby trickle you'd induced
called murder on another's lips
dirk court'd my neck, caressed my breast
but you gentle'd it with final kiss
Cradled in your arms
your tears unstopped
and knelt down with my crimson'd frame
you joined me quick at gate of light
while kin echoed out your fallen name
Embraced you'd bound our wrists with chord
all woven from our braided hair
with flower garland and petals sweet
to mask the stench of death-filled air
Our vows spoke to them beyond our tomb
you'd joined me in Afterlife
with fruit not of your brother's womb
