Beginnings and Ends
By Erin Ouellette
The days come and another day has gone, time passes slowly nightfall has just begun. The waxing and waning of light the moon shines bright. With the end of another day comes the start of a brighter day. Star light and sun light brings forth the hours. Clouds and rain mark the minutes till twlight. With the dusk will fallow the dawn and so shall go on, another day.
Come and go, go and gone, here and now gone again. Like a phoenix the day rises from the ashes of night. Within the dark of night day breaks forth light. In fiery splender day rises to replace night, and the shadows of night blow out day light. On goes the march in this fight. Ongoing is the plight of day and night. Never beginning and never finished. Fore ever starting but never stopping.
Within the last hours of light the soul wanes to feel bright. At the end of night the soul waxes with the light. The currents of the sky mark the ebb and flow of this tide. Darkness passes and light hides marking nothing but beginnings and ends in life.
P.S. I Miss You
By Crystal Wintercast/ KBM
Those cold October bleachers
Were illuminated by the pink of sunset
And the red rush of flushed cheeks.
Your fingerprints are forever ingrained on my blue jeans.
No matter how many times water rushes through them,
I feel the heat of those prints on my thigh.
The chill that night was not from the wind
As we ran inside and locked my bedroom door.
The heat was not from the vent on my floor
As our lips melted together,
And as the headlights zeroed in on my regretful eyes,
Two months was not such an eternity.
I'm not sure, but my poem seems to be gone. Ok. I'm cool w/that. Too much???
