Port Sa'id

Swimming in the sea

playing in the sand

Blindman's Bluff or

Hide-and-seek

Parents sat together

while children frolicked in the waves

gamings of Backgammon

crowd under lamps

Dinner was at nine

then to Cinema they went

snacking on hot seeds
watched Esther Williams jump on skis

Later, concerts sang of love & sorrow

over & over the same sad refrain

this was some of Summer's fare

and the sweetness of Port Sa'id
