But wouldn't Chaos imply that the Cosmos can't hold together because all the atomic and subatomic particles would be going every which way. Why do we have to gender it one way or the other?
Hi, Hells Miser
For me I have always had problems with relating to the male aspect of "god". It has its roots from long ago when I reached out for a kind and loving
spirit to help me when I was in despair. I looked out the window one night, when I was sleeping next to the one who brought me so much despair. I saw a full moon and I simply said, mother moon accept me as one of your own. Help me with wisdom and courage to overthrow this beast of a husband. I am not or was not a demonstrative person, but I soon had the courage and strength to get rid of this terrible source of negativity and abuse.
I have no doubt now that I have been a practicing witch that I chose the right path for me. So Goddess as the whole and her many aspects ( similar to hinduism's many gods and goddesses) has seen me through many good and bad times. Life/death/ rebirth/ and on, makes sense to me on an emotinal and intellectual level.
Chaos is a word for another part of our life here and by physics and other means, especially the computer, we can see the beauty of chaos in fractals. It is not in any way frightening to accept the whole, not all orderly differential equations, laws of science for hundres of years in the west, but it is also chaos. It is beautiful. Hope I have given answers that part of your your questions. lyn
Thanks Lyn for that amazingly beautiful post. If only your ex could have heard you speak on such matters he would have wept and asked forgiveness for his sins. Wonderful if I had a Temple I would askerd you to be the High Priestess and I would be a lowly acolyte.
I believe that God is a loving creator, and that he/she (I don't think gender is relevant) presents him/herself in many ways so we may better understand. I do not embrace spiritual darkness, I feel that it is very destructive. I see God as the all-powerful embodiment of positive change in our lives. I do embrace some Christian beliefs, and some pagan ones. But, I follow my heart. If something feels wrong, I trust my instincts. I don't think of God as chaos, but balance. Sometimes things don't make sense, and you have to trust that things will work out. God is healing and hope, kindness without expectation. I believe that God is in everything gentle and pure. Like autumn leaves, or a child's laughter, or the acceptance and love of other human beings.
It could, but Chaos is the name I give to my own Personal YHWH in a sense. But I am not monotheist but Polythesit so to me Chaos is my web of Gods and Goddesses all sumed up in 1 word.
Hi I am new to this site..... To me in my weird eclectic way... God is everything all of us the dust the toes , the snow, all of it.God/Goddess we are one. And Chaos has a lot to do with it!
