Good books to read when you're first starting your year and a day?

I just started my year and a day a few weeks ago. My teacher mostly does exercises and copying for teaching. Though those teaching tactics help me greatly i LOVE to read. So im looking to purchase a good book to read for the semi beginner. The only book ive read so far is Wicca For the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham. Got any suggestions for more good reads like that? (I'm also big on poetry, ive been looking for a good earthy, pagan poetry book for months and i just can't find one, any suggestions for that?)
