I am removing the "New CHAT" tab. There are too many quirks with it compared to the first one. It seems most everyone has discovered how to use the chat at the bottom of your browser window. If you have any questions, please send me an e-mail. Thanks!
UPDATE ON CHAT:
Our provider's engineers are trying to figure out the problem, but there is one special note. For now using Pop-Out chat (the one that becomes it's own little window) seems to work consistently. It's the way I always use it too, and I haven't had any problems.
Otherwise, I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your patience.

UPDATED for March 25, 2009 changes...
- CHAT Updates coming Wed March 25... Here are the highlights:
* You’ll be able to resize the chat pop out window.
* You’ll be able to control the volume of sound notifications with a own volume slider.
* The closed Chat bar will be slightly more obvious with a green chat indicator for new members to find chat as well as tooltips to make the options a bit more obvious.
* A visual indicator for private chat. When you have private chat requests or someone has added to your private chat, there will now be an icon that blinks to let you know.
* There is a known issue right now with characters being cut off in chat. This will be fixed.

THANKS - Here's a pictorial showing you how to access the new Chat....
These are the following new features in this version:
* Chat will now be in Flash. This means that you need to have a minimum of Flash 9 on your computer. You likely already have Flash 9 and, if not, they have instructions for how to add it.
* Chat is on every page of TheNeopagans network located in a bar across the bottom of every page. It will start in “bar mode” and will expand into “window mode” by the way you click on the symbol with the arrows.
* You will be able to pop chat out and keep it open as its own window.
* Sound notifies you when messages are received. Notifications start OFF by default, but can be turned on through the options menu.
* Because chat is now persistent across all pages, members will be displayed as online more accurately. However, there is still the option for a member to make themselves invisible, if they choose.
