Learning through dreams.
For a while, I had these very interesting dreams. They always started out the same:
I walk through this beautiful, moss-covered forest going uphill. Slowly, gravestones begin to appear, some small and very old, others taller and newly erected. Soon I am completely surrounded by them, grave makers tangled in vines and bushes and held close by the trees.
Then a wolf comes to me. It looks very similar to the wolf I was in my past life, except I know it's different. One of it's eyes looks just like one of mine, brown streak crossing through the green and blue speckles among the gold. Somehow, I know this wolf is a part of me, and has been for all my life. I know it deep inside of me, and together we walk through the weathered grave yard.
The first woman I meet is dressed in long, purple robes. Her hair is in a fine mess, and she wore a bright headband and bright jewelry. She almost looks like a stereotypical fortune teller that you see at fairs.
"Do you know where you are?" she asks in French. Somehow I understand and reply, "No."
She shrugs like this is obvious and goes back to what she was doing, which is setting up some kind of altar on a long tombstone. I look at my wolf; he/she meets my gaze, evenly and calmly, then turns back to watch the woman. I want to ask what she's doing but won't be disrespectful.
She then tells me many stories about the dead, ones that I can't exactly recall. But it was about how to appreciate the dead, how to respect them. Then she suddenly switches to English, and very clearly says:
"Do not resurrect or contact the dead. It is disrespectful."
My dream fades out here.
But the other dreams begin the same, with me wandering until I find the graveyard, and the wolf meets up with me to lead me to the next woman, who teaches me something else.
What do you think the elements of these dreams mean? What are everyone's thoughts on this? Has anyone had dreams like these before?
