Intolerance against Paganism and in general ...
After watching the negative reaction of somebody to the rising of Paganism with the new cults and religions, like Wicca, Goth and Neopaganism, I want to know your opinion about it. And furthermore to discuss world Intolerance in general also ....

and this is how you all thank him, by attacking him and forcing your agenda down his throat like Christians and gathering others to read things and allow their comments in by second parties etc., and pretend that this is not a side taking matter, as you all continue to add more people into it to shove your agenda down his and everyone else here’s throats!

Maybe… just maybe… he and “I” as well as my girlfriend and our other groups and sites will make a new one and be a little more picky about who is allowed in, and make a real effort to change things.(lunarwhisper ) Choosing, hmm. Judgement and DOGMA.
Then we can focus on the intelligent, the concerned and people who really are who, and what they say they are, and focus our will of their acceptance of us on those ignorant, by making them see that we “ARE” indeed a force to reckoned with and that we have a voice, a vote and an agenda just as they do!

Why / Witches did as the Code of ethics was and will always be, be smart and keep silent of your deeds. Not one person is cramming things down anyones throat, except the very ones that call us ignorant.

Thanks Dragon and Donna for your sympathy!...
Following my premise of not answering or posting in this community on this topic, I think anyway it's helpful if I make now a brief general consideration.
Regarding new postings I saw from some other folks with different experiences and perspectives, I think: If I have to believe, as someone thinks, that we are not "discriminated", why are you folks posting so many messages about intolerance and "nasty" actions made against ourselves and our beliefs?!....
Then if this is true, as I said, we need to work hard for the reinstatement of Paganism through a better comprehension of itself!
In order to do that, if we will be ever successful, first we need to be united and put our personal visions on the side.
At this regard I'm preparing a new "container" that will be entirely devoted to this "herculean" exciting task!!
You will be invited to join this new "container".... Stay tuned!

Just to set the record straight...I only posted here because I just got back to my computer yesterday and read this. I adore this site and find Paolo and this site to be one of the best I have ever visited.
I also agree with Dragon on some points. I do believe there are many elitists in this world..and many intolerant people..in short what I was trying to get at is...and as I think Paolo is saying....the Ignorance will always be there...or at least for a very long time. We have been condemned in history...but that is the past. We are not the only religious group out there..and surely not the only ones that put up with intolerance....
My point is..focusing on it and allowing it to change us and make us to what we so passionately claim to despise...is a bit silly...and it is allowing that hate that permeates the things that we see that hurt us...to become us....sometimes we don't see how our reflections have changed until someone else gets hurt....to me that is to late.
I personally love everyone. I love Christians...I love Buddhists...I love LIFE... the dirty and the clean of it...as a pagan who will be forever studying and striving for greater understanding...I understand that there is a balance...and personally I do my best not to let it make me hateful turn me to those who's choices and words harm..
This will be my last post on this forum. I hope to see your new one Paolo.

Thanks for your appreciation of the site. As you said, surely I'm oriented to love everybody and to be tolerant as you do, but cannot embrace your personal vision in the whole picture. In particular I disagree with your "perceptions" as I think that the road to be accepted and understood in a proper way by Non Pagans and others will be long and arduous....
According then to your view, in Rome, talking slang we say ( I'm Italian...) "volemose bene", which means basically in plain english "who cares, we just need to love and respect each other..".
Obviously this kind of approach sounds good but is extremely naive, weak and dangerous in a world like today where we are seeing a strong rise up of Intolerance and a major "blind" and aggressive religious evangelization ( we can also include, unfortunately, among others our fellow Pagan Scientologists and similar extremists intolerants...).
Do I have also to mention the Islamic world, that flirts shamefully with the extremism of insane groups like AL-Kaeda and co.
So that a new and strong, fast action from our Neopagan side is absolutely needed!

I actually just left another site because of intolerance. I'm new to Wicca and NeoPaganism and such, and I ask questions to learn. (How else can you?) I was ripped into one too many times for "bad" information or "incorrect thoughts."
So I left.
Intolerance is something that I cannot swallow.

Essh It's like you guys like to ignore the posts I put up ealier, and tell me I'm wrong because of my knowledge, logic and beliefs, well being Pagan means you can have freewill and be loose and honor thousands, hundreds or even a few or zero gods and or goddesses, daemons, etc. I dont know everything but I do know somethings, and if you guys keep ignoring me, I will ignore you and stop posting on this thread. It's like you guys read what I say but dont comment on it or tell me what I need to know. I have sympathies for all of you and none of you at the same time! Thats how much I dont care about this topic right now. So if you want to apoligize for ignoring my posts, you know where you can find me, for my name here 3 times throughout this topic and more throughtout this site.

Sometimes ignoring is deserved! ... especially when I hear things like "we don't need churches...."
Churches were Temples, Temples were the core of the ancient Pagan cults of our ancestors, the place to get a deep re-connection with superior energies!!
If now, under the fury of this era of chaotic individualistic creations, we want to initiate a new rebellious form of Paganism that will be a new metaphysical or a confused-nonsensical one, just let me know and.... I'm out of it!
p.s. .. Ragnarok, due to the personal nature of this issue regarding your "churches" opinion, that I feel is superficially dangerous and in strong contrast with my vision of a new Paganism built anyway on solid ancient foundations, I will skip further discussions ....

Ok Paolo, I am sorry for the "churches" opinion. I didn't mean that we needed grand structures, maybe simple and yet functional places of worship that can be used for all different paths, not just one for each neo and old form of paganism. ok I was think Christian like Churches, I didnt mean Temples in specific terms. Besides Earth is a Temple all in itself, and we, as pagans, has used it before the artificial building we term as Temples.

This new approach or in general an approach to a spiritual path needs to be balanced. In this case our Temple is both: material and ethereal, so that our analysis and words need to clearly reflect that... Then I believe, that in this present time, we don't need further confusion and we need to be careful when we speak.
Personally there is not "mockery" from my side. I'm the founder of this community, and I have a precise goal for this new Paganism. My thoughts will follow a precise plan and I need to be severe in the way I will define my "vision".
You made a precise statement, with a kind of "summer of love" appeal, that can be easily misinterpreted.... plus I don't want to nor do I have to scratch my mind to understand your deep meanings, so that it's up to you to be more clear and complete.
On the other hand, I understand your natural rebellion against the contemporary symbol of a Christian Church... I agree with you on that!
I'm confident you will understand my perspective in the whole scenario....

I have my own opinion on this, I just don't advertise what I do and refuse to do battles with bigots who do know what I am. As for tv shows there are many christians one out there, saying we worship the devil etc.. I just don't watch them. When I can, I do give my opinion, when I am asked only. Mostly I find that keeping to yourself is best. it doesn't take away from your religion and you avoid nasty comments. We are not about 'hey look at me I'm a witch" it's about a personal life style and set of beliefs. Who cares how many knows. I do support other of my faith when asked.
