Herbs and Oils in Magikal Use
In searching through the groups in Neopagan World, I was not finding any that shared information on the use of herbs and oils in ritual or spells. Is there any interest in starting a group that would give information on this topic? I have a library rich in this area and would be willing to put up a weekly "recipe" with tips and instructions and also to answer specific questions. Please let me know if this is something that would be helpful/useful to the community.

Initiation Oil
Use this mixture for initiation rites or to increase your spiritual awareness. Place a dot of the oil on your third eye. You may also rub a drop into each wrist.
INITIATION OIL
3 drops Frankincense Oil
3 drops Myrrh Oil
1 drop Sandalwood Oil
Mix with 1/8 cup Sweet Almond Oil in a blue or amber bottle for best storage. Hold the container in both hands and imbue it with your intentions for its use.

ANTI-SORCERY SACHET
Sachets or herbal charms consist of herbs and other materials wrapped up in bits of cloth and placed in your home, car or worn on your person to either ward off or attract to you certain energies. The herbs, other ingredients and the color of the cloth work together with the energy you impart to the sachet.
NOTE: use cloth made of natural fibers such as felt, wool or cotton. Synthetic materials seem to disturb the herbs' frequencies.
ANTI-SORCERY SACHET
1 part Dill seed
1 part Flax seed
1 part Peony root
Place the herbs in a mixing bowl and mingle them with your fingers, concentrating on your intent and pouring your power into them. Place about a handful or so (depending on the size of the cloth square) of the mixture in the center of a square of white cloth cut 5 to 9 inches along each side, and tie up the ends using white ribbon or cord. Squeeze it, pouring in addition power and intent, and suspend over doors and windows in your home or carry it on your person (in which case, use cloth that is about 3 inches by 3 inches). Replace with a freshly made sachet every 3 months, disassembling and burying the old one, asking the Mother to transmute and use the energy for the good of all. You can make ahead and store in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Be sure to label your jars.

Cool Off Bath Spell
Sea Salt
Sage
Mint
9 drops Frankincense Oil
One pinch of Dragon's Blood powder
Thyme
One small tumbled Quartz crystal
Place the ingredients in a 7-inch square piece of deep-purple cotton cloth and tie the bundle closed with a black ribbon, knotted three time. Place it in a bath full of water. As you get in the tub, visualize unwanted cords running to you dissolving as you hit the water. As you relax in the water, breathing in the scents, repeat:
Cool off now, and leave me be,
Be gone, you have no hold on me.
Unwanted psychic ties dissolve,
You'll never break my strong resolve.

PROTECTION BATH
Use this recipe to increase the strength of your psychic armor. Bath in this mixture daily until you feel strong and sound.
4 parts Rosemary
3 parts Bay
2 parts Basil
2 parts Fennel
1 part Dill
