This is for people with fire element energy (but can also be for those who want to use fire element). Fire manipulation is the wrong term for any element usage, because we don’t manipulate anything, we work with….this is why I like the term “Element Bending”. This is the basic guide/root of all energy work. To better understand, we first must understand that all of the elements are within us and they work together within us. Our body is made up of more than 70% of water, as the blood flows it heats up our body, the blood flows because of our breathing, and last our skin holds it all together. Now we are going to focus on Fire-bending. All of us have this natural ability, but we barely notice it as bending. In order to fire-bend we must realize a couple things about fire. Fire is the element that represents the spirit, and holds the other 3 elements together. Also fire is an element that is created by the other 3: water evaporates into the air, the air & water creates lightning clouds, and lightning hits the earth to create natural fire. Fire is one of the most complex energy to bend, and one of the elements that takes more steps to master than the rest. But you will find that becoming more in touch with the fire element will bring you more in balance with the other 3.
Basic Training #1:
1) First step is to lie on the ground (yeah you heard me, no candles or campfire yet). Start to relax your body from the feat to the head and breathe deep into your belly (diaphragm). Deep breathing relaxes the muscles, relaxed muscles let the blood flow easily, and that makes your body warm up (side note if your outside/cold never tense up it will only make you colder).
2) Once your body starts to feel relaxed and warm bring focus to the center of your chest (or heart chakra)…this is the center (physical/spiritual)…this is were warmth comes from inside your body….notice that spot and start to tell your body (with your mind) to become warmer, and just notice the feel. (WARNING this is a type of mediation if you have trouble meditating have someone read/guide you through the steps).
2.5) If are having trouble with the main focus being at the center of your chest/heart chakra then focus on the belly instead of the heart…some people believe that pyrokinesis comes from the belly….so do whichever feels best for you.
3) Once your have gotten use to/mastered warming your body with relaxing and deep breathing start closing your eyes and envision being surrounded by fire (but it does not burn you)…let the fire around move closer to you and you feel gentle warmness, until you envision the fire on you (but again it doesn’t burn you, and it isn’t too hot).
4) Once you have done that come back and sit up…get a candle and light it, sit in front of the candle and stare at it, and just take note of all that you notice about that little flame.
Again this element is one of the hardest to bend, so when you start at the basics you really have to start at the basics. Fire is one element that driven by emotions…water and air you just need to have a flowing/easy-going attitude about it, and earth is about stillness. In order to make a flame dance you have to find the fire within, and bring that to the surface. Fire isn’t easily accessible like the other 3 in the form we all know fire to be…that is why we first must learn to find the fire inside in order to use it. there are many more basic training to come for fire, so please be patient, and repeat these steps over and over, because you will find the fire energy inside of us is very powerful compared to making a flame dance…so please don’t take this lightly.
